There's More To Life

I’m a 36 year old father of two with a third on the way. Currently we are living in Virginia, although I have lived in 9 states (Georgia, Oklahoma, Idaho, Oregon, Wisconsin, Indiana, Utah, Maryland, and Virginia) and 3 countries (Germany, United States, and Japan). Basically in those orders with some overlap.

My father was in the Army when I was born and so I was born in Germany and later moved back there to serve a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (more commonly known as the Mormons). No I am not currently an active member. I’ve thought about going back, but it’s been difficult after several years of not going.

I work in the construction industry for a General Contractor as a Purchasing Agent. I have worked in Residential prior to this working for two of the top 10 Residential companies. As much as I love residential construction I don’t see myself ever going back. It’s really a different world on this side of things and I actually enjoy it. That’s not to say that if I won the lottery I wouldn’t retire tomorrow. 😛

I’m the former author of Casual Hardcore, a blog about the online computer game World of Warcraft (WoW). Although I still play, I lost interest in several aspects of the end game and therefore lacked content to write about. After dragging it on for longer than it should have I finally decided to end writing over there.

But my love for writing keeps me wanting to write about something and so I write about life after WoW. It was my only hobby for a couple of years and my main hobby for the last year. But there’s more to life than WoW and these are my ramblings as I discover what that is.
